British Columbia’s world-leading sustainable forest management is backed by rigorous laws and independent third-party forest certification.

This leadership was confirmed in a 2016 study by Indufor, an international forestry consulting company that examined forest legislation and certification standards in 14 jurisdictions around the world. The report, International Comparison of Forest Management Legal Frameworks and Certification Standards, expanded and updated an earlier study by the company.
